FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Should dogs be allowed at restaurants? The New York state Senate last week passed legislation that would give restaurants the right to allow customers to bring dogs to outdoor dining areas.
Under the bill, restaurants would have to take steps to prevent contamination of food, utensils and equipment. Restaurants would not be required to adopt such a policy, nor would it give diners the right to bring their dogs to any restaurant, according to the bill.
