Shop to Battle Hunger

You’ll have to head to the grocery store this week sooner or later, so why not hit Whole Foods in Darien Wednesday, Jan. 12? They’ll donate five percent of the day’s sales to the Connecticut Food Bank. As you grab your organics and other treats for your kitchen, you’ll also benefit Connecticut’s hungry.

On this particular Wednesday, helping a neighbor is as simple as making a trip to the market. Shop for your family, and in the process you’ll be shopping for someone else’s, too.
