Norwalk's Wave Hill Breads Feeds Appetite for Art

NORWALK, Conn.—They’re calling it “a batch made in heaven,” an apt moniker for the Friday, May 4 art opening at Norwalk’s Wave Hill Breads Bakery and Café .

The featured artwork comes from eleven artists who make up The St. Philips Artists' Guild (SPAG). And the food comes from Wave Hill’s own kitchen.

Expect locally crafted gastronomic delights, expertly prepared and paired with Wave Hill’s artisanal breads, pastry chef Matt Kirshner’s sweet treats will also be on display as Wave Hill founders Mitch Rapoport and Margaret Sapir welcome artists and community into their café. "It's so important for us to be involved in the community here," said Sapir. "And art is a great excuse to gather people together."

Exhibiting artists include: Sherry Becker, Amy  Bilden, Melissa Chieffalo, Paul Christian, Donna Davie, Ralph DiMarco, Tony Mobilia, David Morico, Dollka Morico, Dick Ramsey and Mike Spero.

The SPAG show runs through May at the Wave Hill Breads Bakery and Café, located at 30 High St. in Norwalk. The opening reception happens Friday, May 4 from 6 to 8 p.m.
