Having more than doubled the number of vendors from the inaugural 2016 event, the market won’t be so mini this year.

“I hope for this year’s event to be an even more successful event compared to last year’s,” said 15-year-old Demetri Dassouras on Norwalk, the market’s coordinator. “This year I have gathered over 45 handmade vendors to make your Christmas shopping a breeze!”

The Mini Makers Market will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 9, in the library’s Great Hall. It is free and open to the public.

Dassouras, a regular volunteer at the library’s innovative MakerSpace, spends months gathering together the eclectic band of vendors that make the market a one-of-a-kind holiday shopping experience. Last year he amassed 20 vendors from across Fairfield County, many of whom hatched their businesses at the MakerSpace.

This year’s offerings range from candles, jewelry and soaps to artwork, carvings, knits and Greek pastries.

Vendors include Peep Frog Pottery, The Funky Trunk, Flamingo Antiques, Josie’s Jems, Blue Lotus Bracelets, Cardboard Creations and Homebrewed Crafts.
