The lecture is set for 6 p.m. Nov. 6 at Norwalk Hospital, according to a press release. Diane Frankel-Gramelis, MS, CCE, adjunct health educator at Southern Connecticut State University, will lead the discussion for mothers and daughters on the "physical and emotional changes of puberty," according to the release.
"The empowering speaker will focus on questions about puberty, physical changes, emotional changes, menstruation, etc.," according to the press release. "It is presented free of charge as a community service."
Hospital representatives recommend the program for girls ages 9-12 who are accompanied by their mothers or female guardians, according to the release. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions to Norwalk Hospital physicians and staff in an informal setting prior to the lecture, according to the release.
