NORWALK, Conn. Four doctors at Coastal Orthopaedics in Norwalk have been named among Americas Top Doctors by U.S. News and World Report.
The doctors were named by specialty as part of the magazines review of Norwalk Hospital in a Top Ten of CT survey based on patient safety, satisfaction and positive outcomes.
Peter Stovell, Michael Lynch, Nicholas Polifroni and Jeffrey DeLuca were named to the list of "Top Orthopedic Doctors" in the magazines 23rd annual Best Hospitals edition.
Stovell is the past chief of orthopaedics at Norwalk Hospital. He has special interest in sports medicine and joint replacement surgery, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sports Medicine and is on the faculty of Yale Medical School as a clinical instructor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Medicine.
Lynch has been practicing orthopaedics in Connecticut since 1992. His special interests include sports medicine and knee reconstruction and replacement. He has served as the high school team doctor for Brien McMahon High School for many years.
Polifroni has been practicing orthopaedics in Connectcut since 1982. He focuses on total joint replacement and sports medicine. This past spring, he was awarded Norwalk Hospitals Tracey Award, which recognizes physicians who demonstrate commitment and philanthropic leadership to the healing arts at Norwalk Hospital. He volunteers as the team doctor at Staples High School.
DeLuca has been practicing orthopaedics in Connecticut since 1992. He has a special interest in sports medicine and training in orthopaedic trauma, anthroscopic surgery and knee replacement.
Coastal Orthopaedics has offices in Norwalk, Darien and Westport and is one of the largest orthopaedic practices in Fairfield County.
