NORWALK, Conn. -- It’s a simple question: “What’s the most DVlicious Italian restaurant in the county?”

What's the Best Italian Restaurant In Fairfield County?
Final Results Voting Closed

What's the Best Italian Restaurant In Fairfield County?

  • Arezzo Ristorante, Westport
  • Bar Sugo, Norwalk
  • Cotto Wine Bar, Stamford
  • Luigi's, Fairfield
  • Osteria Romana, Norwalk

Sounds straightforward, right? But with a dizzying array of options – everything from old-school red sauce joints to modern takes on Grandma’s homemade cooking to trattorias with gourmet pizzas -- the answer can be hard to answer.

We asked for your favorites; five have been narrowed down as part of our contest and those finalists have been profiled this week.

Voting continues until 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.

Grab a fork, read on, and let your fingers do the clicking. The winner will receive a framed DVlicious certificate as well as the pride in knowing it offers a taste of Italy close to home.

Bar Sugo, 102 Wall St., Norwalk,  (203) 956-7134

What Makes It Pasta Perfect: Chef Pasquale Pascarella opened his modern Italian trattoria in October 2012 and quickly gained a following for his house made pastas, artisan pizza, signature meatballs, and seasonal ingredient driven.

Worth Special Mention: While the foundation of Chef Pat’s food is deeply rooted in his Italian heritage, his forward thinking and creativity takes this often modest cuisine to whole new level. The restaurant's wine and cocktail program is just as innovative and robust as its food. And customers rave over the ambiance: Wrapped in rustic wood furnishings, red and white checked flooring, exposed brick walls, and artwork where the pig reigns supreme.
