Honda Loses a Wheel and Creates an Electric Trike

What do you do when the weather outside is nice, but you’re just a tad too lazy to hop on your bike to take in some scenery? Enter, the Honda E-Canopy, a three-wheeled scooter that was recently unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show.

Honda says the all-electric machine is envisioned primarily for personal use, although an optional and spacious trunk might fill the bill for a speedy, inexpensive mode of pizza delivery.

Although there’s no room for an extra passenger, there is a generous plexiglass windscreen to protect the driver from (mild) weather inconveniences. Maybe the deluxe version will feature a wicker basket for extra storage. We will keep you posted.
