Here's a quick way to add color and sparkle to a Christmas tree with bows made from ribbon. You'll need two-inch wired metallic ribbon, a two-inch thick dowel or a broom handle and a spool of floral wire. Pick gold, red or green for a festive look.
Cut a 15-inch piece of ribbon from the roll of ribbon and lay it flat on the work surface with any pattern or texture face down.
Place dowel vertically on the ribbon and tie a bow around it.
Cut a 10-inch piece of floral wire, slip the bow off the dowel and thread the wire through loop. Fold the wire in half and twist a couple of times.
Use the ends of the wire to tie the bow to tree.
