Helen Ainson Shares Intimate Moments

Few things make a woman feel as sexy as stepping into a beautifully made, perfectly fitted piece of lingerie. The right bra can literally change a girl’s outlook on life. Undergarments, in all their delicate, feminine glory, are the foundations of a woman’s style.

Well-stocked lingerie departments staffed by knowledgeable sales women you can trust—intimately—are now rare. But Fairfield County ladies will have a new destination that promises to fill this need.

Darien boutique Helen Ainson is set to unveil Intimate Moments, a new lingerie department. Helen Ainson owner Erica Jensen explains, “Our town has been in such a desperate need for women’s lingerie that I decided to fill that niche. We no longer will have to send customers out of our town to make their purchases.”

Thursday, Oct. 6, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Helen Ainson will host a lingerie trunk show in celebration. Expect lots of lace and champagne. Not the worst way to spend a weekday afternoon.

A lingerie expert from Simone Perele will also be in-house to help with bra fittings discuss French lingerie. And, 20 percent of the store’s sales that day will be donated to the Smilow Family Breast Health Center at Norwalk Hospital.

According to Jensen, many women don’t know they are wearing ill-fitting bras, or bras that are simply the wrong size. A Helen Ainson stylist and fit expert describes the problem this way, “If your straps are falling down, the back is riding up or the front-center it not sitting flush against your ribcage, you are like many other women out there and probably not wearing the right size [bra].”

If that sounds like you, it may be time to put Helen Ainson on your list of intimate friends.
