The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) site lists the number of affected vehicles at 674, built from Oct. 21, 2011 through October 26, 2011.
The affected issue is the power vacuum brake boost pushrod retention nut, which, GM says, might not have the proper torque according to specification. In this scenario, the nut could loosen and allow the pushrod to separate from the brake pedal, which could result in brake failure.
