Fall Fashion Gets All Shook Up

Call it the “Mad Men” effect. Fall fashion for 2010 is taking a big cue from 1950’s style. Right this minute, it’s about clean lines, feminine silhouettes and structure, structure, structure!

At first blush, the flirty skirts and coquettish corsets may seem too passé to pass off as modern. But take a closer look and you’ll see designers are riffing off of 50’s style, and adding a very 21st century edge. Slim waists and accentuated curves are achingly sexy at the hands of fashion gods like PradaDior and Louis Vuitton.

Poise and polish emanate from this fabulously feminine fall style. You don’t need to rock a full-on Betty Page look for school drop-off. But slip into a skinny, high-waisted pencil skirt for a ladies’ lunch and you’ll notice an extra wiggle in your step. And you won’t be the only one.
