Comic Makes a Meal Out of Stamford Show

Station Eats , the better burger mecca, has teamed with Stamford’s Palace Theater and comedian Mike Birbiglia to create a burger like you’ve never tasted.

Birbiglia will perform at the Palace, located directly across the street from the newest Station Eats restaurant, on Thursday, May 3. Feeling neighborly, Station Eats owners Nicholas Type and Seth Leifer wanted to welcome him as only they can.

“We asked him what kind of burger he would have if he could have any kind of burger in the world,” says Type. “He said his favorite food is pepperoni pizza. So we created a pizza burger. He’s even given his burger a name: The Birbig Burger.”

The Birbig Burger, according to Type, is a grass-fed beef burger, topped with fresh mozzarella, a house made pizza sauce and pepperoni. And it’s only available for a limited time at the Stamford Station Eats location. You can test drive the Birbig Burger yourself Tuesday, May 1 through Thursday, May 3.

Have ticket to Birbiglia’s show? Then you’ll even have the chance to win a free meal for two at Station Eats if you try a Birbig Burger on May 3, the day of the show.

Birbig is apparently as excited to try it as the Station Eats chefs were to create it. Word is, the comic tweeted about the new dish to more than 125 thousand followers.

Which means you’d probably get in line for yours now.

Station Eats is located at 60 Atlantic St. in Stamford, across the street from the Palace Theater and up one flight of stairs.
