The Bethel Hot Dog Palace, Bethel
Frank Talk: This family-owned eatery, open daily, is all about community -- and good food. It's especially known for its foot-long hot dogs which come in a variety of options such as the Rueben Dog (with sauerkraut, corn beef, and Russian dressing), the Chicago Dog (topped with tomatoes, pickles, relish, onions, yellow mustard, and celery salt) and the Texas Dog (with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, chopped onions and Palace chili). Dogs are deep-fried, not grilled. Everything is made upon request to maintain freshness and taste.
