Art Plus Studio has seen success in New Haven since its opening in 2012. So owner Bella Zadore decided to branch out with a South Norwalk studio, which opens on North Main Street later this month.

Zadore’s studio specializes in hosting group wine-and-painting events that offer an alternative to the usual bar scene or other forms of nightlife. The studio supplies all of the paint and equipment and has trained instructors guide visitors in re-creating a famous work of art.

The studio does not serve beverages, but bringing your own bottle is strongly encouraged. Zadore suggests each group “bring a little liquid courage to help get those creative juices flowing.”

“We pride ourselves on cultivating an atmosphere where you can really relax, have fun, and be creative,” Zadore says.

Along with public walk-in parties every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, Art Plus is also available fr party bookings. The studio’s offerings run the full spectrum of ages, from programs designed for young kids to special “bachelorette party” session featuring nude models.

Customers must be 18 or older for normal walk-in night sessions, or 13 years old and with a parent or guardian. The studio also hosts weekly Family Days for families with younger children.

Art Plus Studio SoNo officially opens Friday, March 28. To celebrate Zadore will host an opening weekend party beginning at 6:30 p.m., focusing on a work by Vincent van Gogh. Reservations are required for the opening weekend, and strongly suggested afterward.

The studio is located at 14-16 N. Main St., South Norwalk. For more information or reservations, visit the studio’s website.
