NORWALK, Conn. – Thank you signs dotted East Norwalk on Monday morning as crowds lined either side of East Avenue to watch veterans, children, Norwalk's public servants and patriotic citizens of every stripe march in the annual Memorial Day parade.

"This is fabulous, one of the best ever," said Diane Cece. "We're so proud. We're thankful, and we're thinking of our veterans today."

Cece was co-chairman of the "Thank You" sign drive. Northrop Grumman provided 2,000 signs for the parade. Cece said there might be more next year.
