NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk Cal Ripken Baseball celebrated opening day Saturday at Fox Run School.
The festivities included food, a brief ceremony with several guests and games after the celebration. Among the guests were Norwalk Mayor Richard Moccia, State Rep. Larry Cafero and Babe Ruth Baseball state Commissioner Fred Bondi.
Norwalk Cal Ripken has 312 players in four divisions for children ages 4-12. The total is the second highest in the history of the league, according to President Tony Schwartz.
