Work Out To Raise Funds For Westport’s Al’s Angels

WESTPORT, Conn. – Take your workout to another level this weekend by raisings funds to help kids with cancer during the third annual 24 Hours of Hope fundraiser, organized by the Westport nonprofit Al’s Angels .

Throughout the two day event, participants get family members and friends to sponsor each hour they work out. Participants can exercise on a variety of machines, such as ellipticals, stationary bicycles and treadmills, or sign up for group fitness classes, including yoga, spinning, zumba, TRX and more. Food and music will be provided.

Last year’s event raised about $100,000, a news release from Al’s Angels said. This year’s goal is to exceed that amount. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $60 per hour they work out.

All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase holiday meals and toys, which Al’s Angels distributes to children in the tri-state area who suffer from cancer and rare blood diseases.

The event will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Edge Fitness locations in Norwalk and Fairfield. For more information or to register, visit the 24 Hours of Hope website .
