NORWALK, Conn. -- The Women's Business Development Council is offering a screening of the documentary "Sweet Dreams" in Norwalk.
The screening of the film is set to start at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Garden Cinemas at 26 Isaac St. in Norwalk. The film "chronicles the experiences of female survivors of the 1994 Rwandan genocide and their journey to entrepreneurship," representatives said.
Fran Pastore, CEO of the WBDC; Rob Fruchtman, Director of “Sweet Dreams;” and Alexis Miesen, owner of Blue Marble Ice Cream in Brooklyn, will be available for a question-and-answer session after the film.
April marks the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Rwanda. The screening of this film is one of the many ways in which WBDC brings to Connecticut the economic impact of the global women’s entrepreneurship movement, representatives said.
