Tuesday, Sept. 4

Norwalk Youth Symphony Auditions: 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Norwalk Youth Symphony will hold auditions for brass, percussion and piano players. Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Ave.

Traffic Authority: 4 p.m. The Traffic Authority will hold a special meeting. Norwalk Police Department, 1 Monroe St.

Police Commission: 4:15 p.m. The Police Commission will hold a special meeting. Norwalk Police Department, 1 Monroe St.

Health Department Farmers Market: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and other items from local farmers and vendors. Norwalk Health Department parking lot, 137 East Ave.

ITT Committee: 3 p.m. The ITT Committee will meet. Room 231, Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Ave.

Concert Series and Classic Car Show: 6 p.m. More than 100 cars will be gathered for a classic car show, followed by a concert of golden oldies by Déjà Vu. Calf Pasture Beach.

Thursday, Sept. 6

Norwalk Transit District Commissioners: The Norwalk Transit Commissioners will meet. Norwalk Transit District, 275 Wilson Ave.

SoNo Concert Series: 5 p.m. The Bernadettes will play at this free outdoor concert. SoNo Park, 50 Washington St.

Get Into It!: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Celebrate back to school with Norwalk ACTS. Learn about local organizations and enjoy story time, activities and giveaways. Stepping Stones Museum for Children, 303 West Ave.

Naramake 50th Anniversary Back to School BBQ: 5:30 p.m. Naramake School celebrates its 50th anniversary. All alumni are invited to attend this special barbecue, which will feature a DJ, games and food. Cost is $10 for current families and $5 for alumni. Naramake School, 16 King St.

Shellfish Commission: 6 p.m. The Shellfish Commission will meet. Norwalk Health Department, 137 East Ave.

Norwalk Oyster Festival: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The 35th annual Oyster Festival kicks off with games, activities, food, arts and crafts, entertainment and more. Click here to see all the activities. Friday admission is $5. Veteran’s Park, Fort Point Street and Seaview Avenue.
