What To Do In Norwalk This Weekend

Friday, Dec. 21

Coping and Caring Parents Express Bus : 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Coping and Caring Express Bus will visit Norwalk with certified grief and bereavement counselors, children's book giveaways, and a hero's tribute to educators and first responders. You can also create personal condolence cards to be delivered to Sandy Hook. Norwalk Community Health Center, 120 Connecticut Ave.

Saturday, Dec. 22

Free Admission at the Maritime Aquarium : 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In celebration of the Mayan apocalypse, the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk will be offering free admission for kids. Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, 10 N. Water St.

Holiday Field Hockey Tournament : 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The Sono Field House will host a field hockey tournament for high school teams of six players. Registration is $225 per team. Sono Field House, 365 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive.

Sunday, Dec. 23

Handel's "Messiah" Part 1 : 5 p.m. The choirs and soloists of St. Paul's on the Green will join with the chamber orchestra, conducted by Vince Edwards, for a performance of Handel's "Messiah" Part 1. Tickets in advance are $25 for the general public, $20 for students, and $30 at the door. St. Paul's on the Green, 60 East Ave.

Compline and Winter Solstice Celebration : 9 p.m. There will be 20 minutes of Gregorian chant and a celebration of the Winter Solstice next to a roaring fire. St. Paul's on the Green, 60 East Ave.
