Children's Book Discussion: 4 p.m. Children are invited to discuss the Addie books from the "American Girl" series. The event will include dressing up and acting out from the time period of the book, crafts and activities based on the characters. South Norwalk Branch Library, 10 Washington St.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

Author Talk: Noon. Author Michael Canavan will discuss his book, "The Nature of the Beast." The book tells the story of a middle-class family living in the Bronx in the 1980s and 1990s and the effect that alcohol has on their family. Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Ave.

Thursday, Feb. 7

Integrating Movement with Learning: 7 p.m. Occupational therapist Terri Epstein will explain the importance of sensory processing for children's learning. Chiropractic doctor Douglas DeMassa will discuss how his brain-based martial art, Neuron-Do, integrates physical movement with learning. Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Ave.

Friday, Feb. 8

Darien at Norwalk High School Basketball: 7 p.m. Darien High School will play Norwalk in boys basketball. Norwalk High School, 55 County St.
