Monday, Dec. 3
Job Search Assistance : 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. A CTWorks career coach will offer assistance with job searches, including resume writing and online job applications. Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Ave.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
Executive Functioning in Children and Teens : 7 p.m. David Andersen, a psychologist in the Norwalk public schools, will give a presentation for parents and teachers on how to develop strategies for students who have problems such as setting goals, managing time, paying attention and controlling emotional and behavioral impulses. Wednesday, Dec. 5
Investing Techniques for a Post-Election Environment : 6:30 p.m. Terry Ober from ING Investment Management and Julina Ogilvie from JPMorgan Asset Management will discuss long-term investing techniques. Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Ave.
My Time for Me Tarot and Treats Holiday Event : 7 p.m. Find out what’s in store for you next year at this event featuring Beth Lears of TLC Tarot, the Good as Gold Girls and Chocopologie. Enjoy wine and chocolate while finding out your future. $60 per person. Chocopologie, 12 S. Main St.
Thursday, Dec. 6
Columbus Magnet School Holiday Vendor Fair : 4 p.m. More than 30 vendors will be selling items such as jewelry, fashion accessories and health and beauty products. There will also be a bake sale and raffle. Norwalk American Legion, 60 County St.
Tree and Courtyard Lighting : 5 p.m. The museum will be open late with free admission so visitors can enjoy a tree lighting, caroling around the museum and a special performance of “The Frog Prince and Other Tales.” Stepping Stones Museum for Children, 303 West Ave.
An Evening of Historical Proportions : 6 p.m. The Norwalk Historical Society’s annual fundraiser will feature food, wine, a silent auction and music from the Jim Clark Trio. Tickets are $45. Mill Hill Historical Park, 2 E. Wall St.
