Friday, July 19

Timeless Tales Story Time : 10 to 11 a.m. This ongoing weekly story time for children ages 3 to 5 is full of classic, contemporary and interactive stories, music, fingerplays and movement. Props are also used to help children relate to and sit through longer stories. This is a drop-in program. Free. South Norwalk Library, 10 Washington St., Norwalk.

Maritime Cruise & Cuisine : 6 p.m. Take a cruise around the Norwalk Islands, followed by dinner at Mama’s Boy. The package includes a Norwalk Harbor sunset cruise on the Norwalk Seaport Association’s CJ Toth ferry and a three-course meal  at Mama’s Boy Restaurant, featuring gourmet twist on Southern food. Book & A Movie : Noon to 3:30 p.m. The South Norwalk Branch Library’s Book & A Movie will discuss the 2001 bestseller, "Life of Pi." The critically acclaimed book inspired the mesmerizing film that won the 2013 Academy Award for best director. The film will be shown after the book discussion. Registration is required. Free. South Norwalk Library, 10 Washington St., Norwalk.
