What To Do In Norwalk This Weekend

Friday, Dec. 7

SoNo Holiday Tree Lighting: 5:30 p.m. The holiday tree lighting will include performances by the Crystal Theater and the Norwalk Community Chorale, refreshments, caroling and a visit from Santa. SoNo Park, 50 Washington St.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Children’s Christmas Party: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Norwalk Police Department hosts a Christmas party for kids that will feature Santa, a magic show, gifts and food. Side by Side Charter School, 10 Chestnut St.

A Day in the Life of a Connecticut Civil War Soldier: 1 p.m. Civil War re-enactor Julius W. Hull Jr. will represent the 27th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry, demonstrating the daily routine, equipment and weaponry of a soldier. Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Ave.

Norwalk Symphony Orchestra Holiday Extravaganza: 5 p.m. The Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, the Seabury Academy Choir and the Pivot Ministries Choir will perform a concert of holiday favorites. Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Ave.
