What To Do In Norwalk This Weekend

NORWALK, Conn. - There will be several Halloween events in Norwalk this weekend, including a haunted tour of the Mill Hill Cemetery, costume parties and monster movies. For a full listing of events, check out our Events page.

Friday, Oct. 26

Medicare Talk: 10:30 a.m. Miriam Zorzi of Beacon Retiree Benefits Group discusses Medicare Part 3. Norwalk Senior Center, 10 Allen St.

Rowayton Farmers Market: Noon to 5 p.m. Pick up fresh fruits, vegetables and other items from local farmers and vendors. Pinkney Park, 1 Rowayton Ave.

Light the Night Walk: 5 p.m. Take part in this annual walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. There will be music, refreshments and family activities. Calf Pasture Beach.

A Haunting at Mill Hill: 5:30 p.m. Take a lantern-light tour of Mill Hill graveyard and hear stories of the ghosts of Norwalk's past. Tickets are $10 for adults and teens and $6 for children. Mill Hill Historical Park, 2 East Wall St.

A Crucial Catch at Football Game: 7 p.m. The McMahon Senators will be raising money for the American Cancer Society at their game against Ridgefield. Tickets are $5, $3 for students. Brien McMahon High School, 300 Highland Ave.

Saturday, Oct. 27

Monster Movie Madness and Halloween Party: 2 to 4:30 p.m. Kids can come in their costumes for a screening of "Monster House," followed by a Halloween party featuring music, raffles, contests and games. South Norwalk Library Branch, 10 Washington St.

Jim Clark Trio: 3:30 p.m. The Jim Clark Trio will perform some of their favorite songs of the seasons. Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Ave.

Civil War Lecture: 4 p.m. Norwalk Community College Professor Steve Berizzi presents his lecture "Preventing American Democracy's Suicide: Abraham Lincoln, Civil Liberties and Saving the Nation." $5, free for RHS members. Rowayton Historical Society, 33 Highland Ave.

Norwalk Symphony "Ode to Joy": 7 p.m. The Choirs of St. Paul's on the Green and the Southern Connecticut Camerata will perform Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D Minor. $20-40 for adults, $5 for students. Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Ave.

Haunted Halloween Costume Party: 7 p.m. Show off your spooky attire at this Halloween costume party. $75. Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, 295 West Ave.

Sunday, Oct. 28

Dance for Cancer: A Celebration of Survival: 1 p.m. Learn pole dancing and burlesque in this event to raise money for the C.H.A.I.N. Fund. There will also be a silent auction. $15 for the classes. Work It Dance and Fitness, 19 N. Main St.

Rowayton Halloween Celebration: 1 p.m. Come in costume and wander the hay maze, enjoy the petting zoo, take a pony ride and go in the haunted house. Rowayton Community Center, 33 Highland Ave.
