Stamford at Brien McMahon: 5:15 p.m. Stamford High School will be playing Brien McMahon in girls' basketball. Brien McMahon High School, 300 Highland Ave.

Fairfield Warde at Norwalk: 7 p.m. Fairfield Warde will be playing Norwalk High School in boys' basketball. Norwalk High School, 55 County St.

Saturday, Jan. 5

Senior Dog Talent Show: 1 p.m. PAWS kicks off Senior Dog Adoption Month with a talent show featuring dogs 7 years or older. PAWS, 504 Main Ave.

Around the World Creative Kids: 2 p.m. Kids can create their own Rangoli, folk art from India, using colored rice. Free with museum admission. Stepping Stones Museum for Children, 303 West Ave.

Sunday, Jan. 6

Boston Buildup: 10 a.m. Take part in this 10k race, the first of four races in a series leading up to a spring marathon. Registration is $40, click here to register. Brien McMahon High School, 300 Highland Ave.
