Monday, Sept. 2

"Brushwork: Acrylic, Oil And Watercolor" Exhibit : Noon to 5 p.m. An exhibition cum competition for acylic, oil and watercolor paintings. Free. Rowayton Arts Center, 145 Rowayton Arts Center, Rowayton. Visit the website for more details.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

Little Laxers - Beginner Lacrosse Clinics: 4 p.m. A program for player ages 3.5 to 5 years old and 6 to 7 years old interested in learning basic lacrosse skills, developing their social skills and having fun. One coach to every seven players per class. Cost is $187.25 for seven-week session, $214 for eight-week session. Sono Field House membership required. "Industrial Evolution" Exhibit: 9 a.m. It features selected artwork depicting inspirational urban and technological elements of evolution over the past 150 years, weaving images from an age of emerging invention and development with the modern day. Wednesday, Sept. 4

Bouncy, Bouncy Babies: 10 to 10:45 a.m. It is an ongoing, weekly Story Time designed with stories, music and activities to get babies bouncing to books. This is a drop-in-program. Free. South Norwalk Branch Library, 10 Washington St.

Folklore: 4 p.m. This book club shares a variety of folklore, fairy tales and fables by PowerPoint presentation. Children ages 5 to 11 learn that some books with the same title have different cultural backgrounds and fractured fairy tales, such as “The Three Little Wolves and the Big, Bad Pig.” Free. Thursday, Sept. 5

Mini Musicians: 11 a.m. The weekly sessions include singing, dancing, musical stories, and jamming with musical instruments. For children ages 3 to 5. They learn basic musical concepts like rhythm, pitch and tempo, while participating in fun, hands-on games and activities. Free. South Norwalk Branch Library, 10 Washington St.
