Mostly Mother Goose Story Time: 10 a.m. It is an ongoing, weekly story time designed for 24- to 35-month-old children. The story time consists of mostly Mother Goose rhymes with some classic and modern tales and songs included. Some props are used to help children visualize the rhymes. Youth Field Hockey "Pre-Season" Camp For 6th - 8th Graders: 8:30 a.m. A field hockey camp for sixth- to eighth-grade girls covering the fundamentals of the sport led by Mo Minicus, head field hockey coach at Darien High School. $295 for members $325 for non-members. "Industrial Evolution" Exhibit: 9 a.m. It features selected artwork depicting inspirational urban and technological elements of evolution from the past 150 years, weaving images from an age of emerging invention and development with the modern day. The Cocktail Classroom- Playing with Bitters: 7 p.m. The class is designed to demystify the art of making delicious drinks. Bouncy, Bouncy Babies: 10-10:45 a.m. It is an ongoing, weekly story time designed with stories, music and activities to get babies bouncing to books. This is a drop-in-program. Free. South Norwalk Branch Library, 10 Washington St., Norwalk.
Folklore: 4 p.m. It is a unique book club where a variety of folklore, fairy tales and fables will be shared by PowerPoint presentation. Children ages 5-11 learn some books with the same title have different cultural backgrounds and fractured fairy tales, such as “The Three Little Wolves" and the "Big, Bad Pig.” Free. Mini Musicians: 11 a.m. The weekly sessions include singing, dancing, musical stories, and jamming with musical instruments. For children ages 3-5.They learn basic musical concepts, like rhythm, pitch and tempo, while participating in fun, hands-on games and activities. Free.
