Monday, Feb. 25

Children's Book Discussion: 4 p.m. Kids can discuss any of the "Addy" books in the American Girl series, which deal with life in the Civil War. There will be crafts and activities based on the stories and characters. South Norwalk Branch Library, 10 Washington St.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

Adults Career Transition Programs: Noon to 3:30 p.m. Norwalk Community College will host two programs for adults in career transitions. The first, from noon to 1:45 p.m., will focus on careers in health. The second will outline NCC's career retraining programs. Norwalk Community College, 188 Richards Ave.

Wednesday, Feb. 27

Building Business Confidence: 10 a.m. Believe, Inspire, Grow hosts this talk with counselor Betsy Auray, who will teach you how to build inner confidence that will lead to success in business. Free for B.I.G. members, $12 for non-members. Nukitchens, 132 Water St.

Thursday, Feb. 28

Language Skills and Social Success: 7 p.m. Language pathologist Lydia Soifer will talk about how parents can build their kids' social communication skills to improve their academic and emotional lives. West Rocks Middle School, 81 West Rocks Road.

Friday, March 1

Medicare Counseling: 10 a.m. to noon. Counselors from CHOICES will help Medicare beneficiaries understand their health-care options and make informed decisions based on their individual needs. Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Ave.
