Walk, Run Scheduled For Norwalk Hospital's Whittingham Cancer Center

NORWALK, Conn. -- A walk for Norwalk Hospital's Whittingham Cancer Center and a 5K, Sally's Run, will be Saturday, April 25, at Calf Pasture Beach.

The run begins at 8:30 a.m., and the 3K walk begins at 11 a.m. Registration for the 5K race begins at 7:30 a.m. and registration for the walk begins at 9 a.m.

Event proceeds go directly to the Whittingham Cancer Center and support patients with:

Extensive support services
Research and clinical trials
Prevention and screenings
New cancer center opening in fall 2015

The 5K started in 2011 and was named in memory of Sally Kalin,who passed away after an eight-year battle with cancer.
