NORWALK, Conn. -- There will be a citywide clean-up in Norwalk on Saturday, April 23, beginning at 10 a.m., at Lowe’s.
Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling and Lucia Rilling will kick off the event.
“Lucia and I invite you to come out and see how you can get involved. This is a great activity for families, youth groups, clubs and fraternal organizations to volunteer and join their neighbors in making a difference in our city. We will have gloves, bags and lists of locations for you to tackle in your own neighborhood. Bring out your team and join in the fun," Rilling said.
"Keeping Norwalk clean and beautiful takes continuing commitment on the part of businesses, residents and city leaders. Lowe’s Companies is a national sponsor of Keep America Beautiful, whose mission is to help volunteers improve and beautify their communities, and I applaud Lowe’s good corporate citizenship. Norwalk Redevelopment Agency and The Norwalk Department of Public Works will help coordinate the event," Rilling continued.
"'The Hour' Newspaper, Keep America Beautiful, our neighborhood groups and the AIC Program also support this tremendous team effort. Join us on Saturday, April 23, at Lowe’s to pick up your tools," Rilling said.
Lowe's is located at 100 Connecticut Ave.
