NORWALK, Conn. -- The SoNo Branch Library will kicks off its Let's Talk @ SoNo series with a discussion led by Mark Albertson -- a noted writer, historian and teacher in Norwalk Community College's Extended Studies Program -- on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Albertson will examine the controversy surrounding the Confederate battle flag and American policy, both foreign and domestic. His discussion will focus on the question of how an American administration can support a Kiev government that is aided by fascist elements with racist overtones. He will shed light on this complex and difficult issue. He will use a short clip of a video to encourage discussion.

This event is free and open to the public. Click here to register online or call 203.899.2790 ext. 15902.

SoNo will also hold a special session of its Community Conversation series on Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be presented by Ada Suarez and Jose Centeno, both of the Connecticut Department of Protection and Advocacy. The session -- offered in Spanish -- is specifically designed for parents of children with disabilities, who are receiving Special Education Services and want to know more about their rights.

This free event is co-sponsored by SPED*NET Wilton and is open to the public. Click here to register online or call 203.899.2790 ext. 15902.

The library is at 10 Washington St., Norwalk.
