NORWALK, Conn. -- A community open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Music Theatre of Connecticut in Norwalk.
Students, parents and members of the community are invited to tour the facility, meet the theater's founders and faculty, and learn more about all the exciting opportunities at its School of Performing Arts.
There also will be sample classes for students in grades K-12, face painting, puppet making, refreshments and more.
The Music Theatre of Connecticut provides musical theater performance and training. It produces award-winning professional productions, and its School of Performing Arts offers conservatory-style training for students ages 4 to 18.
The Music Theatre of Connecticut is located at 509 Westport Ave., Norwalk, behind Jones New York and Nine West Outlet.
It boasts a state-of-the-art black box theater, rehearsal studios, scenic and costume design shops, dressing rooms and public spaces.
The School of Performing Arts fall term begins next Monday, with opportunities for students in grades K-12, including classes, private lessons, student productions including "James and the Giant Peach,” “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and "Charlotte's Web," as well as the nationally recognized College-Bound in the Performing Arts program.
