Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium To Screen 'Force Awakens' For Star Wars Day

NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk residents can celebrate "Star Wars Day" on Wednesday, May 4, by watching the latest movie in the series on the biggest of big screens.

The Maritime Aquarium, 10 N. Water St., Norwalk, will screen "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on its six-story IMAX screen at 7:30 p.m.

The date of the holiday is a pun on the film franchise's catchphrase, "May the force be with you." 

Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character from any of the franchise's seven films. The showing will be the first time the film has been screened in Connecticut in 70mm IMAX film projection. 

There will be additional 7:30 p.m. screenings on April 27, 28, 30, as well as May 1 at 6 p.m. From May 6 to June 26, there will be showings on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m. 

The film is 2 hours and 15 minutes long, and is rated PG-13 for sci-fi action violence. 

Tickets for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” are $12.95 for adults, $11.95 for seniors and teenagers ages 13-17 and $10.95 for children 3-12.
