Norwalk's Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Hosts Lecture On Evolution Of Christmas

NORWALK, Conn. -- Kathy Maher, executive director of The Barnum Museum, will visit the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m., to discuss the evolution of Christmas.

Maher will discuss the historic transformation of the holiday from a Victorian spirit of generosity, benevolence, and community fellowship to what we celebrate today.
