Norwalk Symphony 75th Anniversary Features Violinst Midori

NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk Symphony will celebrate its 75th anniversary Oct. 25 at the Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Ave. Midori, a world-renowned violinist, will join the symphony that evening, for the Norwalk Symphony’s opening concert of the season.

 Midori made her debut at age 11, and has had an impressive career as a master musician ever since. She is also the founder of Midori & Friends, a non-profit in New York that helps children receive musical education.

At the Norwalk Symphony anniversary event, she will play Robert Schumann’s "Violin Concerto."

The evening will also feature music from Charles Ives’ “The Unanswered Question” and Mozart’s Overture to the “Marriage of Figaro” and his “Symphony No. 29.

The celebration will start at 5 p.m., with food and beverages at the Norwalk Inn. Those who wish to attend the celebration and the concert can get a ticket for both for $150. Those who already have a concert ticket may attend the celebration for $100.
