Chairing the event is museum trustee Lynne Byington. Vendors will sell new and used items from furniture to jewelry, clothing to toys, and nearly everything in between.
“Whether you enjoy bargains, face painting or a stroll down memory lane, this is such an enjoyable event, as it offers something to everyone.” Byington said. “I am thrilled to chair this event and introduce this magnificent National Historic Landmark to a great number of our Norwalk visitors."
The event will also include an antique car show, swing and jazz music performances, and barbecue and other foods provided by Stew Leonard’s and Michael Gilmartin’s Outdoor Cookers Catering & Event Planning. The Bob Button Big band is set to play from noon to 1 p.m., and students from The Pop Music Academy in Stamford are slotted for 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Some of the booths, which were donated by the museum, will be occupied by local nonprofits that will share information about their organizations. The museum will be open for mini-tours from noon to 4 p.m. Cost is $5 to walk through the first floor period rooms and see the Victorian-era mansion. Proceeds will benefit the museum.
