NORWALK, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center’s talent competition, "Darien’s Got Talent," which returns on June 25, is currently accepting registrations and Norwalk residents are being encouraged to audition.
"We know that there is so much talent out there in the community in Norwalk and around Fairfield County and we want to encourage anyone 10 years old and up to audition," said Jessie Gilbert, a trusts and estates lawyer with Cummings & Lockwood in Greenwich and longtime resident of Norwalk, who co-chairs the auditions committee for the DAC.
Auditions will be held on May 21 and 22 at the DAC Weatherstone Studio at the Darien Arts Center office.
Contestants can enter the competition alone or as part of a group -- to sing, dance, play an instrument or perform any other talent. Acapella groups, garage bands and dance ensembles are welcome.
Auditions are open to all, ages 10 and up. Contestants are not required to live in Darien, but must register to audition by May 14 by clicking here.
The fundraising event features cash prizes for adults and children, and entertainment professionals as judges for auditions and finals. 20 finalists will compete for top prizes in front of a live audience at Darien High School.
