NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Hospital is offering a free smoking cessation course for area residents beginning on Thursday, April 14, at 6 p.m. in the third floor respiratory room of the hospital’s Section of Pulmonary Medicine.
The department offers the program twice a year as a service to the community.
The course, which is taught by Beverly Jacoby, a registered respiratory therapist at the hospital, consists of six weekly sessions that provide smokers with both social support and a plan of action in their effort to quit.
