All are welcome to attend with the donation of a book or toy that will be given to children in need.

“With the hectic holiday schedules many families have this time of year, this is a great way for people to relax together, enjoy a movie and make a difference, “ Fire Chief Denis McCarthy said in a statement. “Almost 150 new children enter the foster care system the week leading up to Christmas, while the 5 Fire stations have been collected toys in recent weeks, this event will help ensure every child will have a gift.”

While guests are getting settled in to watch the movie, the department will share fire safety and winter preparedness materials, as well as popcorn and hot cocoa.

The movie will be screened in the apparatus bay, which is heated, but guests should bring a blanket or towel to sit on.

The Norwalk Fire Headquarters is at 121 Connecticut Ave.
