Construction worker burned at Fair Lawn excavation site

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A construction worker suffered electrical burns on his hands while working an excavation project in Fair Lawn this morning.

The accident occured just after 8:30 a.m. at Morlott Avenue and Banta Place, where a J. Fletcher Creamer crew was working on an improvement project for the nearby PSE&G substation.

A police officer handling the traffic detail immediately called for an ambulance, which took the conscious and alert worker to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.

Besides police, EMS workers and a paramedic unit from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson responded.
