Monsters Can March In Westport For Annual Children's Halloween Parade

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Ghouls and goblins will walk the streets of Westport when the town hosts its annual Children's Halloween Parade on Thursday, Oct. 26.

The event is sponsored by the Westport Parks and Recreation Department, the Downtown Merchants Association and Westport P.A.L. Children and parents will meet at Main Street and Post Road at 3:30 p.m.

The event is for children of all ages, especially those 8 and under. The parade will proceed up Main Street, turn right onto Avery Place, then turn left on Myrtle Avenue to Town Hall and Veterans Green. Children may trick-or-treat along Main Street and in Town Hall. Entertainment, refreshments and a small gift will be provided at Veterans Green across from Town Hall at 4 p.m.

There will be no parking on Main Street between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. during this event.
