The film will play Fridays and Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and on Sundays at 4 p.m., until March 17. The PG-13 movie runs 169 minutes, and tickets are $11.50 for adults, $10.50 for seniors and youths aged 13 to 17, and $9.50 for children aged 3 to 12.
The Maritime Aquarium’s six-story-tall IMAX screen is the largest in Connecticut and features digital sound and the ability to show the film in large, 70mm film format.
“If you see ‘The Hobbit’ in a local cinema, you’ll just be watching Bilbo Baggins’ adventure,” said the aquarium’s marketing director Chris Loynd in a statement. “Come to our immersive IMAX Theater and Bilbo’s adventure will also be your adventure.”
The Maritime Aquarium is located on Water Street in South Norwalk. For tickets and information, visit the aquarium’s website at MaritimeAquarium.org or call 203-852-0700 ext. 2206.
