NORWALK, Conn. – Literacy Volunteers of Norwalk is having an information session at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11 at the Norwalk Public Library in the Carnegie Room.

Literacy Volunteers of Norwalk trains volunteers to work with adult learners in small groups to improve their English language skills. Volunteers do not need to speak another language or have a teaching background. A high school diploma or equivalency is required, along with the ability to speak English clearly. The most important qualification is the willingness to make a difference in someone’s life.

The Literacy Volunteers office is in the Norwalk Public Library Main building, 1 Belden Ave.
