The program will be Friday, Feb. 12 at noon in the main auditorium.

Get transported back to May 19, 1536, when the love story of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, the second of his six wives, came to a tragic end with the execution of Anne Boleyn.

Henry VIII’s insistence on making Anne his wife and queen changed England forever, but in the end, she paid with her life. Explore how Henry VIII fell in and out of love with Anne, and the legacy she left with their daughter, the future Queen Elizabeth I.

Mona Garcia has a Ph.D. in history and has taught European history at the college level. She has presented conference papers in the United States and Great Britain, and has been published in her field of English history.

A light lunch will be provided courtesy of the library.
