The top acts are John Cafferty, Dennis DeYoung and Smash Mouth.

Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band will perform on Friday, Sept. 11; Dennis DeYoung: The Music of STYX will be on Saturday, Sept. 12; and Smash Mouth will perform on Sunday, Sept. 13.

For the fifth consecutive year, First County Bank will be presenting sponsor.

“We have another year of great national musical acts lined up,” said Oyster Festival Chairman Mike Reilly.

DeYoung, founding member of STYX, wrote seven of their eight Top 10 hits, including “Lady,” “Come Sail Away;” Smash Mouth, with their big hits such as "All-Star," Walkin' on the Sun," and "I’m a Believer;" plus, John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band, that achieved international success with the soundtrack to the movie “Eddie & The Cruisers,” as well as songs in the soundtracks of “Jersey Girl” and “There’s Something About Mary."

All the acts will take place on the Main Stage. In addition, dozens of local and regional musicians as well as those competing in the Hour’s “Breaking The Band,” will perform over the course of the weekend on The Hour/Heineken stage.

Returning after their popular debut last year will be the Nerveless Nocks Thrill Show, aerial stunt artists who perform motorcycle high wire acts and other daredevil stunts (www.nervelessnocks.com). This year they will be adding sway poles to their act, stunts on skyscrapingly high poles, free of wires or other safety means.

Other returning attractions include the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show (www.lumberjackent.com), a Craft Beer tent with more than 25 beers, an expanded food court, the largest ever Arts & Crafts Pavilion with more than 100 artisans and crafters, the oyster slurping contest, and much more.
