During the special details -- which ran from midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 27 to 11:59 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1 -- troopers patrolled the roads and highways for drunken driving violations as well as aggressive drivers.
Here are the results of their efforts:
- Calls for service: 7,205
- Speeding violations: 385
- Seatbelt violations: 20
- Other hazardous violations: 1257 (including unsafe lane change, following too closely, cell phone usage, texting, failure to signal, etc.)
- DUI arrests: 52
- Accidents investigated: 593
- With injuries: 61
- Fatal: 2
