The 3 p.m. Oct. 6 event will feature a performance by Piper, a former Broadway performer who starred as Eliza Doolittle with Richard Chamberlain in both the Broadway and national tour of :My Fair Lady." She was last seen on Broadway as Maria in "The Sound of Music."

Piper will perform contemporary, classic and Broadway hits during the 16th annual benefit at the Bydale estate of honorary event chair Joan Warburg.

"We are extremely excited about the performance of this wonderfully talented songstress and expect a sell-out crowd, all for the benefit of the outstanding programs at Family ReEntry," said Susan Ness of Greenwich, the event's co-chair in a statement.

Co-chairs for the event include Ness, Evelyn Bausman, Dawn Federman, Anne Friday, Penny Grayson, Bernadette Settlemeyer and Sally Schenk.

Since 1984, Family ReEntry’s community-based programs have helped to reduce the likelihood a client will reoffend, be rearrested, or be reincarcerated. Reductions in recidivism resulting from Family ReEntry’s programs aim to increase public safety, improve quality of life and reduce the financial burden on taxpayers.
