Attendees will begin by entering a full size model of a bedroom, identifying common household items that seem innocent, but could indicate that the occupant is hiding a highly dangerous behavior.
The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources, a program of Children's Aid and Family Services, will show a presentation helping parents, grandparents and other caregivers know where to look, what to look for, and what to do if they suspect their loved one is involved with narcotics or alcohol use.
Audience members will be invited to ask questions of a panel including the executive director of West Bergen Mental Health, a recovery reistered nurse, an EMT and/or law enforcement professional, a pastor and a parent of a young adult addicted to heroin.
Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panel one-on-one.
